Mary Lou Solman

Mary Lou (Donahey) Solman, 85, of Zelienople passed away Sunday in the comfort of her home.

Born July 7, 1928, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and the late Carrie (Shaler) Donahey.

Mrs. Solman was a faithful member of the St. Matthias Catholic Church in Evans City, where she proudly served as a Christian mother for many years. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 51 years, Fred F. Solman Sr.; her two loving sons, Fred F. Solman Jr. and his wife, Amy, of Zelienople and Randy Solman and his wife, Cindy, of Volant; her two granddaughters, Breanna and Heather Solman; her grandson, Braden Solman, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Solman — The family of Mary Lou (Donahey) Solman, who passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with the Father Lawrence R. Smith as celebrant. She will be laid to rest at the St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in Zelienople.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in her honor in support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Lupus Foundation, 100 W.
