Robert D. Pryor
Robert D. Pryor, 76, of Butler passed away Saturday at his home.
He was born Oct. 19, 1936, in Perry Township, Clarion County, the son of the late Arthur and Velma (Weaver) Pryor.
Bob was an avid golfer and was a member of numerous golf leagues in the area. He also liked to fish and hunt. He was a member of the Northwestern Greenskeepers Association and the Prospect Boys and Girls Club. He was the greenskeeper for 55 years at Lake Arthur Country Club. Bob was a member of the Round Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Robin Walters of Slippery Rock and Wendy (Pryor) McClean and her husband, Roger, of West Sunbury; a son, Fred Pryor and his wife, Jackie, of Slippery Rock; grandchildren, Brittany and Ty Pryor, Andrew, Austin and Adam Walters, April Green, Brittany Lee McClean and Stephanie Nickerson; four sisters, Kate Twentier of Slippery Rock, Penny Smith of Butler, Jean Fraser of Butler and Jane Pryor of Butler; and a brother, Art Pryor of Slippery Rock.
He was preceded in death by his wife, M. Jean Pryor, who died Feb. 27, 2008; a son, Robert Dale Pryor, two sisters, Renee Hunter and Betty Pickard and two brothers, John and Bruce Pryor.
PRYOR — Friends of Robert D. Pryor, who passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev.
