Howard Morgan

In loving memory of our husband and father, Howard Morgan.

Dear Dad,

One year ago today your pain finally ended Dad. You told us no more hospitals, surgeries or dialysis, you were tired and couldn’t fight any more. Those words are sketched in our memory forever and echo through our thoughts each and every day. We understood you fought long and hard for the last couple of years, but we could not accept it. Emotions and tears filled the room and we tried to convince you to just keep fighting, we will find a way to make you better, but you made your decision. You laid there so calm, brave and strong, not a tear in your eye, but in deep thought and so peaceful. It was like a huge burden was lifted. You were not afraid, our hero, like always. You kept falling asleep, so tired from the long day so we all told you good night, see you tomorrow Dad. You replied the same back and we all parted our ways. We all woke up but you Dad. We said our last good night and never knew it. The fight was over, just like you said.

You were a saviour in us all in so many ways and the foundation of our family. Every day your spirit guides us through our journeys and keeps us on the right path. No words can explain how much we love you and miss you. Till we meet again Dad.
