3 sent to trial in death of W&J College football player
WASHINGTON, Pa. — Three men charged in the beating death of Washington & Jefferson College student Tim McNerney of Butler have been held for trial at a preliminary hearing today in Washington County.
Adam Hawkins of Washington, Eric Wells of Pittsburgh and Troy Simmons of East Pittsburgh had their cases sent to trial on charges of criminal homicide and other charges.
