William F. Ashe

William F. Ashe, 81, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Sunday at Green Hills, West Liberty, Ohio. He was a former resident of Sarver and Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

He was born May 13, 1932, in Sharpsville, Pa., to James Dewey and Florence H. Ash. He was the husband of the late Bonita Ruth Greer, who died April 18, 1992.

He served in the U.S. Air Force before beginning his career as a quality assurance inspector for the federal government.

He was a member of the American Legion, a lifetime member of the Elks, and a past master of the Masons.

In addition to his companion of 14 years, Vi Millward, he is survived by a son, Dave, and two daughters, Cathy (Dennis) Bergbigler and Christine (Rick) Bergbigler, all of Sarver; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Roberta Fogle of Katonah, N.Y., and Martha Firth of Beaverton, Ore.; and a brother, Charles (Gina) Ash of Five Points, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth L. Ash, and a son, Martin L. Ashe.

ASHE — There will be no visitation for William F. Ashe, who passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013. Services will be private.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
