Calderone

Robert J. Calderone, 90, of Hilliards passed away Monday at his home.

He was born Feb. 5, 1923, in Ganister, Pa., the son of the late Angelo and Mary (Dometrich) Calderone.

He was a member of the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and the Sons of Italy of Boyers.

Robert had worked for U.S. Steel in Ellwood City and also at Moniteau High School as a custodian.

Surviving are a daughter, Janet (Robert) McCandless, with whom he made his home; his loving granddaughter and caregiver, Stacey McCandless; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Julie Notareschi of West Sunbury; a brother, Edward Calderone of Butler; and a caring nephew, Richard Calderone of Boyers.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Brown of Tampa, Fla., two sisters and a brother.

CALDERONE — There will be private services and burial for Robert J. Calderone, who passed away Monday, July 8, 2013.
