Donald R. Maxwell
Donald R. Maxwell, 93, of Key West, Fla., formerly of Butler, passed away June 24 of natural causes at home with family by his side.
Born May 9, 1920, in Butler, he was the son of John R. Maxwell and Clara Dutter Maxwell.
He married Elva Lane Maxwell on April 10, 1940 in Butler.
He graduated from Butler High School. He worked at Armco in electrical maintenance, retiring in 1979.
He enjoyed reading, swimming and working in the garden.
He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was honorably discharged.
He is survived by his wife, Elva Lane Maxwell of Key West, Fla.; daughter, Arlene (Dr. Robert P.) Kaufman of Key West, Fla.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Don was an amazing, loving father and grandfather who will be missed dearly by all.
MAXWELL — There was a small private ceremony for Donald R. Maxwell, who passed away Monday, June 24, 2013, in Key West, Fla.Family will be placing a memorial brick in honor of Don in the Military Square of Honor in Mallory Square, Key West, Fla.
