Roy H. Bowser
Roy H. Bowser, 92, of Worthington passed away Thursday at ACMH Hospital.
She was born on Nov. 4, 1920, in Adrian, Pa., to the late Wilbert Joseph and Goldie Matilda (Hooks) Bowser.
He was a lifelong farmer and a former Hoffman Seed salesman.
He was a member of the Brush Valley Brethren Church, Adrian, Pa.
He enjoyed beating his grandchildren and great-grandchildren in checkers, tractors and horse pulls. He also enjoyed watching television and reading.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Irene (McAfoose) Bowser of Worthington, who he married Dec. 23, 1944; his son, Robert (Sue) Bowser of Worthington; his daughters, Louise (Samuel) Montgomery of Kittanning and Bonnie (Dave) Stewart of Worthington; his grandchildren, Brenda (Doug) Gregory, Cheryl (John) Fauset, Rob (Hayli) Bowser, Randy (Tabita) Bowser, Emalee and Clara Montgomery, Melanie (Ben) Salsgiver, Corey (Courtney) Stewart, Cody Stewart and Tess Stewart; his great-grandchildren, Kolby, Adam and Shayna Gregory, Karen and Lauren Fauset, Tyler Morsenetti, Logan and Owen Stewart and Max, Jack and Henry Salsgiver. His sister, Lois (Ed) Jack of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and many nieces and nephews who were dearly loved also survive.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Violet French, Elizabeth Crissman and Margie Bowser.
BOWSER — Friends of Roy H. Bowser, who passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington.
Additional visitation will be at 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Brush Valley Brethren Church. Interment will be at Brush Valley Brethren Church Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice.
