Comtra Theatre will hold auditions for the musical “Monty Python’s Spamalot” from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the theater, 20540 Route 19, Cranberry Township.

Those auditioning should take a prepared Broadway style song to sing a cappella. There will be cold readings from the script as well as a simple dance audition. Experience with a British accent is a plus, but not required. Actors with strong comedic skills are being sought.

Actors must be at least 16 to audition for this show. There are leading roles that do not require solo singing.

Performance dates are Oct. 18 to Nov. 9.

Sing Hosanna! will conduct auditions for “Shrek, The Musical” Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Stewart Hall, 310 W. Airport Road, Penn Township.

Auditions Monday and Tuesday will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. for ages 8 to 12 and from 8 to 9:30 p.m. for ages 13 and older.

Auditions Wednesday will be from 10 a.m. to noon for ages 8 to 12.

Audition materials will be provided. Additional auditions/callbacks or the first read-through will be Aug. 8.

Performance dates will be Nov. 15 to 17 at the Succop Theater at Butler County Community College.
