Katherine R. Double, 88, of Sugarcreek Township, East Brady, died at 11:45 p.m. Monday in Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.

Born on Jan. 17, 1925, in Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. Kepple Sr. and Vernie Crawford Kepple.

She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora. Katherine enjoyed her pets and gardening.

On Oct. 5, 1946, she married William J. Double in Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church, Chicora. He died Nov. 14, 1998.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Double of East Brady; her brothers, George and Edyee Kepple of Butler, Don and Lois Kepple of Chicora and James and Loretta Kepple of Worthington; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Charles A. Kepple Jr.
