Paul Clinton Plaisted, 91, of Butler passed away Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

He was born Dec. 5, 1921, in Butler, the son of the late Ora and Edna (Steele) Plaisted.

Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 694, the New Castle Consistory and the Syria Shriners.

Paul was a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in electrical engineering. He retired from Armco.

Surviving are two sons, Jack and Carla Plaisted of Butler and Dan and Lois Plaisted of Butler; grandchildren, Amber Thompson of Butler, Amy Thompson of Butler, Cheryl Wilson of Erie, Jacqueline Kirch of Cranberry Township, Nicole Parker of Butler, Brittany Plaisted of Butler, Jeremy Plaisted of Butler and Danielle Plaisted of Butler; great-grandchildren, Haley and Braylen Wilson, Marissa Whipple, Brandy Plaisted and Marie, Heidi and Carbon Parker and McKenzie and Kendle McCorry; and great-great-grandson, Benjamin Alexander.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred “Milly” Plaisted; a daughter, Lynn Thompson; three sisters; and two brothers.

PLAISTED — Friends of Paul Clinton Plaisted, who passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.Services will be at the North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main Ext., Butler, at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
