CRANBERRY TWP — Monster Bash 2013 has moved from Butler to Cranberry Township for this year’s summer event, which takes place Friday through Sunday at the Four Points by Sheraton Pittsburgh North, 910 Sheraton Drive, Mars.
The event is a film festival featuring visits by movie and television stars plus vendors from across the nation.
Guests of note this year include John Saxon from “Enter the Dragon” and “The Scarecrow and Mrs. King,” Pat Priest and Butch Patrick from “The Munsters,” and Ron Chaney, grandson of Lon Chaney Jr.
The Ultimate Abbott & Costello Tribute Show featuring look-alikes Bill Riley as Bud Abbott and Joe Ziegler as Lou Costello will present spontaneous skits and the classic “Who’s on First.”
Also prominently featured will be a tribute to Shemp Howard, one of the original Three Stooges. His daughter-in-law and granddaughters will show family photos and host a question-and-answer session.
And “Chilly Billy” Cardille, host of Pittsburgh’s “Chiller Theatre” in the 1950s through 1980s, will speak on Saturday afternoon.
Single day admission is $20; three-day admission is $45. Children younger than 12 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
