Associated Artists of Butler County presents a photography show through July 27 at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St. Classes and art parties are available. The Underground Gallery is having a band night at 6 p.m. Friday. Performers will include DotDotDot-SheLovesMeNot, Adam Kozar, Upon the Shoulders of Giants, The Nox Boys, and We Survived the Apocalypse. Cover is $5. Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., presents Dixie Lipnichan, a Japanese language and world cultures teacher from Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School, with a program on “Kamishibai,” or storytelling, from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 6. This program will include the traditional Japanese Kamishibai story “The Mouse's Wedding.” The day also will include hands-on activities such as making chopsticks and candy sushi and learning how to use chopsticks. Bottlebrush: A Gallery for the Arts, 539 Main St., Harmony, hosts a cycling-based themed art show and will hold an opening reception on Saturday in honor of the unicycle competition in town. Admission is free. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Call 724-452-0539.

Red Brick Gallery, 17 Main St., Foxburg, is exhibiting photography from award-winning artist Daniel Stainer in collaboration with the Saxonburg Area Artists Cooperative, whose members will present mixed media. Filmmakers Galleries, 477 Melwood Ave., is presenting a summer exhibit featuring the work of five advanced photography students from Pittsburgh Filmmakers School. The show, entitled “Pigment and Silver,” will be on view through Sept. 13. Admission is free. Hours are noon to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and noon to 6 p.m. Fridays.
