John Wise

John A. Wise, 49, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning at his home.

He was born Dec. 13, 1963, in Butler to the late William Wise and the late Audrey Rainey Wise.

John graduated from Mars High School in the Class of 1982, and attended Park Alliance Church in Ellwood City.

He had worked as a custodian for the Pine Richland School District for 18 years. For the past year, he had been a sales associate at T&M Hardware in Ellwood City.

John was a lifelong fisherman, and he enjoyed piloting remote controlled helicopters and airplanes.

He is survived by his wife of more than 13 years, Tracy L. Woroszylo Wise, who he married Aug. 28, 1999. He is also survived by a sister and two brothers, Barbara (Clyde “Skip”) Gray of Mars, Ernest (Cindy) Wise of Florida and William (Carol) Wise of Butler; two nephews and two nieces, Adam (Brittney) Gray, Matthew Gray, Keri Wise and Dawn (Chris) Burke, as well as his mother-in-law, Joyce Woroszylo of Ellwood City.

WISE — Friends of John A. Wise, who passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Park Alliance Church, 701 Jefferson St., Ellwood City, with the Rev.
