Glenda 'Glene' Dmitsak Freedline

Glenda “Glene” Dmitsak Freedline, 69, of Butler passed away at 5 a.m. Sunday in the VNA Hospice following a brief illness.

Born on April 29, 1944, in Rochester, Pa., she was the daughter of Joseph Dmitsak and Ruby Thompson Dmitsak.

Glenda married Warria Freedline Jr. on Jan. 22, 1977. He passed away in March of 2003.

She was a retired school teacher, having taught in Towanda, Pa., and in the Butler School District.

Throughout her life, Glenda adopted and loved many cats.

She enjoyed time with her many friends who survived her; Kay and Bob McLafferty, Larry Anderson, Kirby Naidus, and Gary and Izzy Ray. Also, her cat Andre.

She also is survived by her adopted nieces and nephews, Jason, Erin and Ryan McLafferty and Alysia McCloskey; cousins; aunts; and other relatives.

Glenda was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

FREEDLINE — There will be no visitation for Glenda “Glene” Dmitsak Freedline of Butler, who passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013.A blessing service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
