Dorothy Michael

Dorothy C. Michael, 92, formerly of Renfrew, passed away 9:30 p.m. Sunday at the Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Harmony.

She was born Jan. 23, 1921, in Connoquenessing Township to the late Milton J. Kaltenbaugh and Laura (Kramer) Kaltenbaugh.

Mrs. Michael was a graduate of Butler High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Connoquenessing. She enjoyed Bible study, quilting, crafts, gardening and arranging flowers.

Mrs. Michael is survived by one son, Terry B. Michael of Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Laura Nicklas of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William H. Michael Jr, who she married May 28, 1942, and who passed away Aug. 25, 1990; one son, Donald H. Michael of Renfrew; four sisters; and six brothers.

MICHAEL — Friends of Dorothy C. Michael, who passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013, will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Rev. J. Gary Brown officiating.Private burial will take place at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Connoquenessing following the service.Memorial donations are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church, P.O.
