Betty K. Wright, 87, formerly of Fombell, passed away Thursday while under the care of Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.

Born on June 8, 1925, in Fombell, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Bertha M. Kistner.

Betty was a loyal member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and formerly owned a popular restaurant in Zelienople. She volunteered her time at the Harmony Museum, Meals on Wheels and at Passavant Retirement Community.

She is survived by her son, Raymond A. Wright and his wife, Veronica, of Harmony; her daughters, Pat A. Loomis of Koppel and Amy Nelson and her husband, Tom, of Evans City; her daughter-in-law, Karen Wright of Evans City; her grandchildren, Virginia Wright and her husband, Colin, Elizabeth Wright, James Loomis and Greg Loomis; her step-granddaughter, Candi Dunlap and her husband, Shane, of Evans City; her great-grandson, Jack Milne; her two nephews, Gordon Hoover of Kentucky and James Hoover of Ohio; and her niece, Betty Lee Lintz of Harmony.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alan M. Wright, who passed away on Oct. 21, 1969; her son, Richard Lewis “Richie” Wright, who passed away on Feb. 15, 2013; and her five siblings, Jacob Kistner, Carrie Cowan, Lillian Hoover, William Kistner and Ruth Haarbauer.

WRIGHT — The family of Betty K. Wright, who passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ralph Fogal officiating.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Zelienople.
