Jeanne Yolanda Beyer Patterson
Jeanne Yolanda Beyer Patterson, 74, of the Trinity Living Center, Grove City, formerly of Worth Township, passed away Wednesday morning at the Grove City Medical Center.
She was born on Sept. 26, 1938, in Ames, Iowa, to Paul Richard Beyer and Frances Elizabeth Grantz.
She married Carl Alvin Patterson on June 8, 1957, and he died Aug. 13, 1993.
She graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1957. She was a homemaker and member of the Zion Baptist Church in Worth Township. She was a people person and made friends wherever she went. She was a former Rainbow girl. As a young lady, she loved swimming, walking in the park, going ice skating and horseback riding. She sang with the Butler Symphonic Choir for three years and with the Slippery Rock University Choir for two years, and she had been a former member of the Bach Choir.
She is survived by her son, Eric S. Patterson and his wife, Michelle, of Portersville; her granddaughter, Melissa Rene Patterson of Portersville; her mother, Frances Elizabeth Beyer of Wooster, Ohio; and her brother, Stanley Linder of Atlanta, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her father, husband, Carl; daughter, Linda; son, Donald R.; and brothers, James Paul and Russell Ray Beyer.
PATTERSON — The family of Jeanne Yolanda Beyer Patterson, who passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013, will receive friends at the Zion Baptist Church from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday. Memorial services will be at the Zion Baptist Church, 154 Currie Road, Slippery Rock, at 1 p.m. Saturday.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Smith Funeral Home, Slippery Rock.Memorial contributions may be given to the Zion Baptist Church.
