Thomas E. Marzullo Sr.
Thomas E. Marzullo Sr., 85, of Butler died Wednesday afternoon at VA Butler Healthcare.
Born Jan. 7, 1928, in Toledo, Ohio, he was a son of the late Frank and Margaret (Mulraney) Marzullo.
He retired in 1987 from the Inspection Department of the Armco Steel Plant in Butler, following 43 years.
He was a member of the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora, was a manager for Eagle County Baseball and had enjoyed attending Butler High School football games.
A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his sons, Tom and Barb Marzullo of Brookville, Joe and Judy Marzullo of Butler, Ron and Fran Marzullo of Fenelton, Steve and Lynn Marzullo of Butler and Matt and Patty Marzullo of Chicora; nine grandchildren; three step- grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marzullo, who he married Sept. 9, 1950, and who died Oct. 10, 2005; six brothers; and a sister.
MARZULLO — Friends of Thomas E. Marzullo Sr., who died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, Penn Avenue, Lyndora. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.The Bereavement Committee of St. Fidelis Parish will meet at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home for a parish vigil service.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
