Melvin E. Hunt
Melvin E. Hunt, 76, of Grove City passed away at 8:23 a.m. Thursday at the Grove City Medical Center following an 11-year illness.
He was born Aug. 11, 1936, in Worth Township, Butler County, to Merle E. Hunt and Lois Ella Studebaker.
He was married to Patricia Nicklin.
He was a millwright and retired from the Kennedy Tubular Co., New Castle.
He was a Protestant.
He attended Slippery Rock area schools and grew up in the Slippery Rock area before moving to Grove City. He was a member of the Order of the Eagles, Grove City.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Nicklin at home; six children, Diane Smith of Lakeland, Fla., Donald Hunt and his wife, Kim, of Slippery Rock, Lynn Heichel and her husband, Dr. David, of Marquette, Mich., and Robert Hunt, John Nicklin and Jim Nicklin, all of Grove City. Ten grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Donna Cooper of Slippery Rock and Patricia Dean and her husband, Charles, of Portersville, also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Naomi Wolff, and an infant sister.
HUNT — Visitation hours for Melvin E. Hunt, who passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013, will be at the Cunningham Funeral Home, Grove City, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
A funeral service will be at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Willard Morse, visitation pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at South Plain Grove Cemetery.
