Elizabeth K. 'Betty' Velazquez
Elizabeth K. “Betty” Velazquez, 71, formerly of Sugar Creek Rest, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the Slippery Rock Personal Care Home.
She was born May 14, 1942, in Butler to the late Gerald T. Huselton and Cleo E. (Henry) Huselton.
Mrs. Velazquez worked as a cook at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of the Peer (Patient Advocacy) Program and the National Humane Society.
Mrs. Velazquez is survived by her husband, Rafael Velazquez, who she married on Sept. 19, 1973; one brother, Gerald T. Huselton Jr. of Butler; three sisters, Evelyn Anderson, Audrey McLaughlin and Deborah Bender, all of Butler; five nieces, Dora Johns, Kelly Lipscomb, Stacy Wehr, Diana Pinto and Tracy Huselton; and six nephews, William McLaughlin Jr., James McLaughlin, Douglas Bender, David Huselton, Michael Huselton and Stephen Huselton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin Huselton and Lester (Jac) Huselton.
VELAQUEZ — Private family visitation and services will be held for Elizabeth K. “Betty” Velazquez, who passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013. Interment will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
