Charles V. Snyder

Charles V. Snyder, 80, of Moran Road died Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Born Dec. 27, 1932, in Clearfield Township, he was the son of the late Harry S. Snyder Sr. and Clara A. (Nugent) Snyder.

He was a farmer, and he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Mr. Snyder was a member of the St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville and also the Herman Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

Surviving are his daughter, Regina E. Campbell and David Campbell of Butler; three brothers, John J. Snyder Sr., Leo E. Snyder and Thomas A. (Rose) Snyder, all of Fenelton; two sisters, Theresa A. Snyder and Margaret M. Graham, both of Fenelton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elma E. (Shuler) Snyder; a son, Charles V. Snyder Jr.; three brothers, and three sisters.

SNYDER — Friends of Charles V. Snyder, who died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. John Roman Catholic Church, Coylesville.
