Phyllis Kathryn Starr Frazer, 89, of Chicora passed away Monday.

She was born April 11, 1924, in Criswell, Armstrong County. Phyllis was the daughter of Keith and Bessie Keith Starr.

Phyllis married Allan S. Frazer in 1945 in Akron, Ohio, and lived in Akron, Petrolia, and Chicora throughout their married life. Allan passed away in 2008.

She was a graduate of Fairview Township Karns City High School and Butler Business College.

She retired from the Butler County Clerk of Courts with fond memories of her coworkers and friends.

Phyllis was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Chicora and The Treble Clef Music Club. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and collecting antiques.

She is survived by a daughter, Melissa Frazer, a son, Todd Frazer and his wife, Mary Jo, all of Butler; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Frazer of Butler; three granddaughters, Brooke, Brittany and Heather Frazer, all of Butler; a grandson, Stuart Frazer II and his wife, Colby, great-granddaughters, Allyn and Kenley Frazer as well as Stuart II’s mother, Kathy Dreyer, all of Kittanning; a sister-in-law, Mary Wolfgong Marshall of Sarasota, Fla., and a number of nieces.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her eldest son, Stuart Frazer, who died in 2012.

Phyllis was blessed with long-term devoted caregivers, Reba Bryan and Carol Fair of Butler, and more recently, the skillful care of VNA Hospice.

FRAZER — Friends of Phyllis Kathryn Starr Frazer, who passed away Monday, May 13, 2013, will be received at Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora-Fenelton Road, Chicora, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. A private funeral service will be officiated by the Rev. Joseph Boomhower, pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chicora.

Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Chicora.
