James R. Finfrock Jr.

James R. Finfrock Jr., 70, of Cranberry Township passed away Sunday while under the care of the Weirton Medical Center, Burgettstown, Pa.

He was born March 19, 1943, in Puerto Rico, and was the son of the late James R. and Judith (Rivas) Finfrock Sr.

Jim was a member of the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

After 34 years of dedicated service, he retired from US Airways.

A true mechanic at heart, Jim loved working on his Volkswagen vehicles and motorcycles, and during his free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR races.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his adoring wife of 49 years, Mary B. (Daube) Finfrock, who he married on Nov. 21, 1964; his three loving children, Rachael Ann Tomaro and her husband, Mark, of Cranberry Township, Donald James Finfrock of Parker and Judith Marie Finfrock of Cranberry Township; his brother, Raymond Finfrock of Pittsburgh; his two grandchildren, Joshua Reed Harmke and Amara Finfrock; his three step-grandchildren, Jessie Burrows and her husband, Derek, Tyrone Fresh and Hannah Christy, and his two stepgreat-grandchildren, Kaden and Trinity Burrows.

FINFROCK — The family of James R. Finfrock Jr., who passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013, will welcome friends from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, with Father George Dalton as celebrant. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in his honor in support of the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Jim's family at www.glennkildoofuneralhome.com.
