Geraldine M. “Gerry” Kriebel, 80, of Parker passed away Sunday afternoon at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 3, 1933, in Perry Township, Clarion County, and was the daughter of the late James and Gertrude Campbell Myers.

She was a graduate of the former Parker High School and had been employed at Arnot-Ogden Hospital in Elmira, N.Y., and at the Parker Post Office.

“Gerry” was proud to have been reared and baptized in the Methodist faith. For much of her adult life she attended the Church of God, and at her passing, she was a member of the Park Hill Church of God at West Freedom. She was a member of the Women of the Church of God.

She was very attentive to writing letters to shut-ins, to those who had lost a loved one, and inviting those without a church to attend church regularly.

Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Carol (Dean) Jackson of DuBois, Pa., and two sons and wives, Greg (Pollyanne) Kriebel and Tim (Kathy) Kriebel, all of Emlenton. She also is survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Kriebel, and three brothers, Ed, Rich and James (Junior) Myers.

KRIEBEL — Friends of Geraldine M. “Gerry” Kriebel, who passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013, may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Wayne Ave., Parker. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Myers, her nephew and a United Methodist pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the family's convenience in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Dutch Hill.The family suggests memorials to the Parker City Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 141, Parker, Pa. 16049.
