To my Dad (Gary Haskin) on Father’s Day

Everyday I look at the picture of me and you at Chrissy’s wedding and it makes me smile.

It breaks my heart more and more each passing day to know that I have to live the rest of my life without you in it. Some days it doesn’t seem real to me. I know no amount of tears will bring you back but that doesn’t make the pain any less to bear.

It makes me sad to know that you won’t get to walk me down the aisle on my wedding day, or see me raise a family. But I know you’ll be watching from above. I could do no wrong in your eyes, and you were proud of me even when I wasn’t proud of myself. I’m going to keep on doing right, so I can keep the promise I made to you. You were my best friend and as a Daddy’s girl you also could do no wrong in my eyes. I Love you and miss you so much Daddy. I want you to know you will always be a hero in my eyes.
