Stella G. Paugh, 87, of Butler, formerly of Chicora, passed away at 10:14 a.m. Wednesday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Stella was born Sept. 16, 1925, in Leadmine, Tucker County, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Holly Mitchel and the late Emma Summerfield Mitchel.

She was a Jehovah Witness.

She is survived by one son, Steven D. Paugh of Karns City, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Shirley Kimble and Maggie Knox, both of Maryland, and one half-sister, Hazel Grimes of Butler, also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Paugh, who she married Jan. 6, 1941, and who died July 8, 2006; two daughters, Joyce Paugh and Carolyn Rusidoff; two sons, Charles Paugh and Douglas Paugh; one sister; and three brothers.

PAUGH — Services and burial for Stella G. Paugh, who passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013, will be in the North Washington Cemetery and will be private.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, West Sunbury.
