NEW CASTLE — A woman has been ordered to stand trial in an accident that claimed the life of one Western Pennsylvania police officer and injured another.
Kylee Barletto, 26, is charged in Lawrence County with manslaughter of a police officer, homicide by vehicle, fleeing and eluding police, reckless endangerment, aggravated assault and other counts.
Authorities allege that she was driving erratically in New Castle on May 2 and Shenango County officers tried to help local police pull her over, but she hit their cruiser, killing Officer William McCarthy and injuring another officer.
