Nancy A. (Scott) Strohecker

Nancy A. (Scott) Strohecker, 74, of Muddy Creek Township passed away Saturday surrounded by her loving family and church pastor while under the care of Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born Jan. 12, 1939, in Sewickley and was the daughter of the late James R. and Bertha (Ruby) Scott.

Nancy was a faithful lifetime member of the Zion Lutheran Church, where she loved singing hymns in the church choir. She was a proud graduate of the Zelienople High School, Class of 1956.

Nancy had the pleasure of traveling alongside her husband and taking in the beautiful scenery as they drove throughout the United States. She will be remembered by those who love her most for her tenacious zest for life, amazing cooking skills, beautiful singing voice, remarkable and generous spirit, but above all, her unending adoration and devotion to her family.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her adoring husband of 55 years, Kenneth I. Strohecker, who she married on Nov. 29, 1957; her two loving daughters, Kim S. Muntz of Butler and Renee L. Jackman and her husband, Randy, of Butler; her sister, Betty Scott Stoughton of Florida; her two loving grandchildren, Joshua D. Muntz and his wife, Amanda, of Leesburg, Va., and Chelsea A. Muntz of Medford, Mass.; her precious great-granddaughter, Madalyn Michelle Muntz, with a baby sister on the way; and her four legged companion, Muffin.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her two children, Kenneth Scott Strohecker and Lynette Ann Strohecker; her two sisters, Ellen Scott and Leora Burgh; and her brother, Ronald J. Scott.

STROHECKER — A memorial service for Nancy A. (Scott) Strohecker, who passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Zion Lutheran Church, 557 Perry Highway, Harmony, with the Rev. Barbara Love, officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor in support of the American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Ave., Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 or to the Zion Lutheran Church, 557 Perry Highway, Harmony, PA 16037.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Nancy's family at www.boylanfuneralhome.com
