SLIPPERY ROCK — Monday is the deadline for Slippery Rock High School alumni to make reservations to attend the annual dinner and scholarship ceremony on June 15. The event is held by the Slippery Rock High School Alumni Association. At this dinner, 11 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors.

Stop smoking class offeredEVANS CITY — Community Health Challenge, 1272 Mars Evans City Road, is hosting the Freedom From Smoking program at 6 p.m. on Wednesday evenings from June 19 to July 31.Freedom From Smoking is a free program, but registration is required. Red Cross slates variety of classesThis summer, the Red Cross will launch its newest preparedness, health and safety course, a baby-sitting class which gives the option of online learning.The course gives students information to ensure children stay safe in the protection of their caretakers.
