Clarence “C.O.” Oliver Emery, Jr., 89, of Butler passed away Wednesday at VA Butler Healthcare.

He was born Sept. 15, 1923, in Butler, and was the son of the late Clarence Oliver Emery Sr. and Margaret (Barger) Emery.

C.O. was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of the Law Enforcement Alliance of America and the National Rifle Association Endowment.

He was a taxidermist by trade.

Surviving are two sons, Jon O. Emery of Butler and Alan Emery of Greenville, S.C.; three grandsons, and a brother, Robert D. Emery of Centerville, Utah.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Coral J. Emery.
