BUTLER TWP — Butler High School had 10 athletes accept full or partial scholarships this school year to compete in college in 2013-14.
Another 52 Golden Tornado athletes plan to continue their athletic careers at the Division I, II or III level.

Football — Robert Vernick (Slippery Rock)
ROBINSON TWP — Seven Butler County baseball players will participate in Sunday's WPIAL Baseball Coaches Association All-Star doubleheader at Burkett Field.The Class AAAA all-stars — featuring Seneca Valley's Jonathan Dorogy and Brad Gresock — play the Class AAA stars — including Ben Erdahl and Dave Bednar of Mars, Chase Voltz of Knoch — at 4 p.m.The Class AA stars — including Freeport's Dustin Koedel and Robbie Miller — play the Class A stars at 1 p.m.
WILKES BARRE — With entries now closed, Kevin Richardson of the Butler County Bowling Association remains fourth in singles scratch and sixth in all events at the Pennsylvania State Bowling Association Tournament.Richardson's singles score is 796, his all events 2,235.Mars Pro Shop #3 is seventh in team handicapped score with a 3,565.
