SLIPPERY ROCK — Tavern Day is planned from noon to 5 p.m. June 15 at the Old Stone House at the intersection of Routes 8, 173 and 528.Donations of $3 per person or $5 per family are suggested. The event will include cooking demonstrations and food samples.Beginning at 10 a.m., there will be opportunities to tour the Old Stone House, a 19th-century stagecoach inn. The historic site is owned and operated by Slippery Rock University.

FRAZER TWP, Allegheny County — Star parties sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh are planned at 8:55 p.m. June 14 and 15 at the Nicholas E. PITTSBURGH — The “2-Minute Film Festival: At Play” will be held July 18 at the Carnegie Museum of Art, 4400 Forbes Ave.Submissions are being accepted through June 21.
