EVANS CITY — An 18th century living history interpretation with period music and a tour will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Providence Plantation, 300 Textor Hill Road.

SLIPPERY ROCK — Tavern Day is planned from noon to 5 p.m. June 15 at the Old Stone House at the intersection of Routes 8, 173 and 528.Donations of $3 per person or $5 per family are suggested. The event will include cooking demonstrations and food samples.Beginning at 10 a.m., there will be opportunities to tour the Old Stone House, a 19th-century stagecoach inn. The historic site is owned and operated by Slippery Rock University.

HARMONY — The Harmony park board will host concerts from late June to late August. FRAZER TWP, Allegheny County — Star parties sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh are planned at 8:55 p.m. June 14 and 15 at the Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory in Deer Lakes Regional Park near Russellton.Parties are held weather permitting. Admission is free. Donations are accepted for the costs of operation.

PITTSBURGH — The “2-Minute Film Festival: At Play” will be held July 18 at the Carnegie Museum of Art, 4400 Forbes Ave.Submissions are being accepted through June 21. Each selected entry will be eligible for People's Choice and Juror's Choice prizes, and for the first time this year, films chosen for the festival screening will also be made available on the website.The festival will begin at 7:30 p.m. July 18 with a reception following by a screening at 9 p.m. Admission is $10.
