Butler Summer Dramatics Project will have auditions for its production of Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man” at 7 p.m. Sunday and Tuesday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church on Franklin Street.

Orchestra auditions will be at 6 p.m. both days.

Summer Dramatics is for youths ages 10 to 24. No previous experience is needed.

The show will be presented Aug. 1, 2 and 3 at the Succop Theater at Butler County Community College.

In later auditions, the Butler Little Theatre will be casting its Summer Youth Production, “James and the Giant Peach” by Roald Dahl, dramatized by Richard George. Auditions will be held from noon to 2 p.m. June 1 and 2 at the theater at One Howard St.

Actors who sing should prepare a short piece to perform. Actors who play violin/fiddle should prepare a brief selection to play. About 25 actors will be cast.

The show is open to those ages 8 to 23.
