Thomas Osborne

Thomas R. Osborne, 88, of Renfrew passed away at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born July 8, 1924, in Pineville, La., to the late Thomas Clayton Osborne and Mildred Mary (Stambaugh) Osborne.

Mr. Osborne was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II at Ft. Knox, Ky.

He worked as an accountant for MultiServe North America, a division of Harsco Corp. (Cranberry Twp. plant), or MultiServe-Plant 16, a division of Harsco Corp. (Lyndora plant) Engineering in Butler, then worked for Heckmeres Highland’s Farm as an accountant and farm manager.

Mr. Osborne was a member of the White Oak Springs United Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed woodworking and golfing.

Mr. Osborne is survived by three sons, Thomas Craig Osborne of Renfrew, Keith Osborne and his wife, Mary, of Allison Park and Robert Carl Osborne and his wife, Laura, of Hampden, Maine; and one grandson, Joshua Osborne.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Adalyn Osborne, who he married Dec. 3, 1949, and who passed away July 10, 2008; and one brother, Harvey Osborne.

OSBORNE — Friends of Thomas R. Osborne, who passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church, 102 Shannon Road, Renfrew, PA 16053, with the Rev. Lee Dreyer officiating.
