Eleanor Grubb Bauer

Eleanor Bauer

Eleanor Grubb Bauer, 90, of Sherwood Oaks, Cranberry Township, formerly of Petrolia and Butler, died Friday.

She was born in August 1922 in Philadelphia and was a daughter of Jonathan and Laura Weil Grubb.

In 1948, she married Oscar Willy Bauer, who died in 1976.

Artist, poet and potter, she was well known in Butler County art circles.

She leaves three sons and their families, Eric Bauer of Akron, Ohio, Martin and Elizabeth Bauer of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Peter and Janet Bauer of Wenatchee, Wash.; five grandsons; a great-granddaughter, and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Linwood and Harold Grubb.

BAUER — A service in the memory of Eleanor Grubb Bauer, who died Friday, April 12, 2013, will take place at 2 p.m. Monday at Sherwood Oaks, 100 Norman Drive, Cranberry Township.
