Sarah Jane “Sally” (Myford) Ferree, 87, of Valencia died peacefully Saturday at her home following an extended illness.

She was born on Nov. 2, 1925, in Monongahela and was a daughter of the late Samuel Alexander and Laura Jane (McCleary) Myford.

She married Roy E. Ferree on Dec. 2, 1950. He passed away on June 9, 1998.

Following a lifelong love of fashion, Sally owned and operated Sarah J's, a women's dress shop, for many years. She was a member of the Gospel Fellowship Presbyterian Church in America.

She is survived by two sons, Edward (Gayle) Ferree and Robert (Judy) Ferree, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one nephew, two nieces and their families.

In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Fletcher Vaughn.

Sally's family was of utmost importance to her throughout her life.
