Several Butler County area baseball and softball teams will be in playoff action this week:

• The Seneca Valley baseball team will take on Pine-Richland at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Pullman Park in the WPIAL Class AAAA semifinals.

• The Karns City and Moniteau baseball teams will square off for the District 9 Class AA title at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pullman Park.

• In District 9 Class A baseball action, A-C Valley will host Ridgway in a first-round battle at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

• The Slippery Rock High baseball team will battle Harbor Creek at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Ainsworth Field in Erie in the first round of the District 10 Class AAA playoffs.

• The Grove City High baseball team will take on Strong Vincent at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Jack Critchfield Park in Slippery Rock in the first round of the D-10 Class AAA playoffs.

• The Karns City softball team will host Cranberry at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the play-in round of the D-9 Class AA playoffs.

• The Moniteau softball team will host Curwensville at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the first round of the D-9 Class AA playoffs.
