Wilda B. 'Wid' Double Brandon Schrecengost

Wilda B. “Wid” Double Brandon Schrecengost, 90, of Renfrew died Saturday in the comfort of her home.

She was born May 18, 1922, in Connoquenessing and was the daughter of J. Meade and Dorothy Hoffman Double.

She was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Connoquenessing, where she had been active in many church activities.

Mid retired as a driver for the Desmond Bus Co. She loved traveling, was a member of a 500 card club, delivered Meals on Wheels and was a devoted grandmother.

Survived are her husband, Clifford B. Schrecengost; one son, J. Kenneth and his wife, Joanne Brandon, of Butler; two sisters, Evelyn Hockenberry and Wanda Faull; one brother, James and his wife, Sylvia Double, all of Renfrew; three grandchildren, Sean (Melissa) Brandon of Iowa, Eric (Tammy) Brandon of New York and Kari Ann (Brian) Seese of Butler; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willis K. Brandon on April 29, 1977, and one son.

SCHRECENGOST — Friends and relatives of Wilda B. “Wid” Double Brandon Schrecengost, who died Saturday, April 13, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the a. carl Kinsey-Ronald n. volTz funeral home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City.Additional information may be obtained at www.kinsey-volzfuneralhome.com
