CHICORA — Elliott Acres Therapy Riding Inc., 135 Center Drive, will have an “open barn” event Sunday.

There will be a 1 p.m. opening ceremony and prayer with music by Country Praise.

At 2 p.m. there will be a therapeutic riding demonstration, followed by a grooming demonstration at 3 p.m. and another riding demonstration at 4 p.m. There will be a cowboy church service at 5 p.m.

Library sets adult programs

The Butler Public Library, 218 N. McKean St., has announced free adult programs beginning May 23 and running through November.

The first program, “Gardening in Small Spaces,” will be at 7 p.m. May 23 with Julie Dandoy, master gardener.

The theme of the programs is “color,” such as garden colors, interior design colors, photography colors and gemstone colors.
