Mary Onufrak

Mary Onufrak, 87, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born in Butler on Aug. 11, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Augusto and Valentina DelTrieici Pasquinelli.

A homemaker, she was formerly employed at Sparkle Market.

She was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

Mary was very strong in her faith. She enjoyed reading, gardening and crocheting, and she had a special gift for baking. But most of all, she delighted in her grandchildren and great-grandson, who she loved very, very much.

She is survived by two sons, John R. Onufrak and his fiancee, Cathy Shaffer, of New Castle and Stephen A. Onufrak and his wife, Nancy, of Butler; two daughters, Mary Ann Lee and her husband, Thomas, of Harrison City, Pa., and Diana L. Kaufman and her husband, Rick, of Chicora; and 10 grandchildren, Matthew Onufrak and his wife, Emily, John Onufrak and his wife, Brittany, Joseph Onufrak, Andrew Onufrak, Ashley Onufrak, Aaron Onufrak, Rachel Lee-Price and her husband, Richard, Abigail Lee and her fiance, Nick Eisensmith, Caitlyn Kaufman and Tyler Kaufman. She is also survived by a great-grandson, Caleb Rylan Price.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Onufrak, who passed away May 27, 1991, four brothers, and four sisters.

ONUFRAK — Friends of Mary Onufrak, who passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013, will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
