Carol E. Crawley

Carol E. Crawley, 58, of Ford City, formerly of Butler, passed away Monday at her home.

She was born in Pittsburgh on April 26, 1954, and was the daughter of Earl and Clara (Ralph) Lambert.

She was a Catholic.

Carol grew up in Butler and moved to Ford City following her marriage. Carol married James Wilkerson Jr., and after his death, she married Walter Crawley, who also passed away. She lovingly cared for Walter during the period of his declining health and enjoyed the sweet and simple life of being a homemaker and cooking for her family. Books were also one of her passions and she was an avid reader. Carol was a kind woman with a loving heart who will be sadly missed by her family.

She leaves behind a son, James Wilkerson and his wife, Amy, of Tionesta, Pa.; seven grandchildren; brothers, Ken Dingman and his wife, Mary Alice, and Jerry Dingman and his wife, Dolly, all of Michigan, and Albert Dingman and his wife, Kathy, of Pittsburgh; sisters, Diane Dingman and Jean Dingman of Michigan, and Patricia Smith of Butler; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James Wilkerson Jr.; second husband, Walter Crawley; and brothers, Earl Lambert and Glenn Dingman.

CRAWLEY — At the family's request, there will be no public visitation for Carol E. Crawley, who passed away Monday, April 8, 2013.
