Maxene Jones Walsh, 84, of Donora, Pa., formerly of Butler, passed away at 5 a.m. Friday at her home.

She was born March 14, 1929, in Meridian to the late Toddy Jones and Nellie Mabel (Lott) Jones.

Mrs. Walsh was the office manager for Lloyd-Johnson, retiring in 1980.

She was a member of the Gospel Alliance Church in Fellsburg, Pa. Mrs. Walsh was a member of the Polish Falcons Nest 247 in Donora and also the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed reading the Bible and visiting with family.

Mrs. Walsh is survived by three daughters, Sandra L. Koskoski of Donora, Sally J. Kleemann and her husband, Donald, of Butler and Sheryl A. Ogorchock of Prospect; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Ada McIntyre and her husband, Richard, of Romney, W.Va.; one sister-in-law, Alison Jones of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard James Walsh, who she married on May 26, 1948, and who passed away on Dec. 22, 1996; one daughter, Sue Zan Greco; one brother, Walter Jones; and two sons-in-law.

WALSH — Friends of Maxene Jones Walsh, who passed away Friday, April 5, 2013, will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday. The funeral will follow immediately at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Ron Schermerhorn, chaplain of Anova Hospice, officiating. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 424 E. 92nd St., New York, NY 10128.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
