Karlyn Lovewell Arthur, 88, of Butler passed away Tuesday.

She was born in Bradner, Ohio. She was a graduate of Dormont High School, the University of Pittsburgh and Slippery Rock University.

She had taught at Penn Township Elementary School in Butler County.

Most recently, she lived at Concordia at the Orchard and was under the expert and tender care of the staff there and the visiting nurses of VNA Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Ada Lovewell of Pittsburgh; two sons, Donald and Alan; and a daughter, Jane Ann.

She is survived by her son, Richard, daughter-in-law, Mary Lou; four grandsons; and her daughter-in-law, Carol.
