BLOOD DRIVES

SLIPPERY ROCK — A replenishment blood drive and bone marrow screening will be from noon to 5 p.m. May 12 at the Slippery Rock Township Building, 155 Branchton Road, to support the Central Blood Bank.

The blood bank is vital for Keith Hyatt’s recovery from acute myeloid leukemia.

There will be refreshments, children’s games, Chinese and silent auctions and a 50/50 raffle. The Graham’s Brothers Band will be featured.

A blood drive for Dennis Peoples will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Butler YMCA, 339 N. Washington St.Dennis, 15, is a ninth grader in the Butler School District who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in December.The drive organizers recommend making an appointment by visiting www.centralbloodbank.org and searching ZRTN1007 or calling Jamie Sawyer at 724-996-4342. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments will be honored first.
