Charles J. Golla

Charles J. Golla, Jr., 98, of Prospect, formerly of Princeton, Pa., passed away peacefully Monday afternoon in the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born Jan. 17, 1915, in Connoquenessing, and was the son of the late Charles J. and Charlotte “Lottie” Rice Golla Sr.

He owned and operated the former Penn Auto Store that was in the Lawrence Village Plaza, New Castle.

He loved vacationing in Canada, where he was an avid musky fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Anderson Golla, who he married May 16, 1998; his daughter, Connie (Gary) Kalajainen of Princeton; three stepdaughters, Janis Norris of Evans City, Joyce Watt of Prospect and Arlene Kinney of Butler; two granddaughters, five step-grandchildren and one great-grandson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Cini, and one sister, Virginia Dickey.

GOLLA — Visitation for Charles J. Golla, who passed away Monday March 18, 2013, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Chaplain Robert Pascoe of Amedisys Hospice Services officiating.Interment will be in Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery.For more information or to leave an online tribute go to www.raisleyfuneralhome.com.
