Gary L. Kummer
Gary L Kummer, 68, of Evans City died Sunday morning in the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
He was born Jan. 22, 1945, in Chicora and was the son of the late George and Carrie Simpson Kummer.
Gary was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church of Evans City.
He was retired from Armco, now AK Steel, with 39 years as a welder.
A member of the National Rifle Association, he enjoyed hunting. He loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. His constant companion was his dog, Maxine. He also enjoyed his horses.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Fulton Kummer, who he married April 3, 1963; four sons, George (Missy) Kummer of Butler, Ronald (Lori) Kummer of Ellwood City, Jake (Alice) Kummer of Ellwood City and Jason (Nicole) Kummer of Evans City; three sisters, Belva Kummer and Brenda (Kenneth) Anderson, both of West Sunbury, and Beverly (James) Hilliard of Unionville; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two grandsons.
KUMMER — The family of Gary L. Kummer, who died Sunday, March 17, 2013, will welcome friends and relatives from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev.
