Doris A. Shingleton
Doris A. Shingleton, 84, of Butler passed away at 3:25 p.m. Sunday at Paramount Senior Living, Cranberry.
She was born April 14, 1928, in New Brighton, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Cornelius) Fry.
Doris was a member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church. She was a caring and hardworking nurse, and she loved to travel.
Surviving are three daughters, Susan Shingleton of Wiscasset, Maine, Margaret Hamas Shingleton of Lafayette, Ind., and Rebecca (Michael) DeGregorio of Pittsburgh; three sons, Richard J. Shingleton Jr. of St. Petersburg, Fla., Gary (Carrie) Shingleton of Butler and Todd (Nadine) Shingleton of Slippery Rock; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sally (Jack) Harris of Beaver Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Shingleton Sr., who died March 8, 2002, and a brother.
SHINGLETON — Friends of Doris A. Shingleton, who passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.A Mass of Christian burial will be at the St. Pauls Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, at 10 a.m. Wednesday.Interment will be in the North Side Cemetery, Butler.
