Richard Pallone

Richard R. Pallone, 90, of Butler passed away Sunday evening at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Butler on Dec. 28, 1922, and was the son of the late Michael and Margaret Pallone.

He was a former groundskeeper at the Butler Country Club, where he was employed for 25 years.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, the American Legion Post 117 of Butler, and the AARP.

He is survived by three sons, Richard M. Pallone and his wife, Ginger, of Butler, Barry L. Pallone and his wife, Donna L., of Butler, and Larry V. Pallone and his wife, Elizabeth A., of Butler; one daughter, Lisa Ann Wells of Butler; one brother, Robert Pallone of Butler; and one sister, Jean Sarver and her husband, Vern, of Butler.

He also is survived by 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose M. Fornelli Pallone, who passed away Dec. 1, 2010, and by three sisters.
