The Butler Public Library will celebrate National Library Week from Monday to Saturday.

During the week, the library will offer late fee forgiveness on items returned and hold daily trivia contests with local gift certificates as prizes. It will have free DVD rental coupons and handouts.

On Thursday, visitors will receive a free bag of popcorn. Throughout the week, visitors may add their own lines to a progressive poem.

National Library Week, first celebrated in 1958, recognizes the contributions of libraries to communities and promotes and supports their use.
